Professional Biography

Victor has more than 25 years experience as social worker in various fields. He has been practicing in the mental health area (Australia and New Zealand) since 2007. He has Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees. He completed a course on Diagnosis and Treatment of Complex Trauma and PTSD in Utrecht University (Summer 2016). This was a training program that was delivered in collaboration with Centrum45. Foundation Centrum ’45 diagnoses and treats people with complex psychological trauma that results from persecution, war and violence (including work related violence, for example, police officers, care workers, public transport personnel; and violence inflicted during riots, kidnappings, attacks, and sexual violence/abuse). He also has completed an Intensive Prolonged Exposure Therapy training under Prof Dr Edna B. Foa, one of the world leading experts on trauma and anxiety treatment of the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Victor proudly presented a scientific paper on trauma at the 15th Conference of European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, held in Odense, Denmark, in June 2017.

Victor is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and holds professional social work registrations in New Zealand and in the Philippines.
