Professional Biography

Thomas O’Neill is a Sydney based clinical psychologist with over 30 years experience in the assessment and treatment of child, family, adult and couple related mental health issues. He has a particular interest in assessing and treating individuals with histories of complex trauma, and uses trauma informed care practices to guide his treatment planning with the individual needs of each client. He uses evidence based enhanced practice to develop interventions and works collaboratively with other agencies on a needs basis. He is committed to offering you a safe, professional, practical and comprehensive service to address your particular needs.

In addition to offering professional supervision and educational seminars and workshops, he has extensive experience assessing work-related stress and injuries from individual and organisational perspectives, and makes recommendations to address needs identified in these processes. He is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society, is an Independent Psychology Consultant for WorkCover NSW, is an Assessor of Treatment Disputes with the Motor Accident Authority and is a current member of the Psychology Council of NSW.
