Susan Gobbart
B.A.Psych (Hons), MMH (UQ), AHPRA, AAPi

An experienced psychologist of more than 30 years, Susan has worked in varied roles, delivering trauma informed clinical services for clients as well as supervision and training. She offers an empathic, trauma informed and holistic approach, drawing on the following evidence-based therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment-based Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapy. Susan has worked in Disability Services, as a school based psychologist, within a dual diagnosis (substance use and complex trauma) based setting, in an offshore setting working with refugees addressing torture and trauma related issues, within an urban Indigenous birthing program supporting first nations mammas address trauma to support their mental health during the perinatal period, and currently seeing clients via telehealth addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including complex trauma.
