Professional Biography
Dr Shirley Grace has over 20 years experience in the development and management of human services in the areas of mental health, crisis and trauma, and corrections. She is dual qualified as a Social Welfare Worker and Psychologist. Dr Grace has worked in the NGO, Government and Private sectors in NSW, New Zealand and the Northern Territory, undertaking various roles including: case manager, counsellor, trainer, group facilitator, university lecturer, manager and executive.
Dr Grace now works full-time in private practice in which she provides therapy services to adults under various schemes including: Medicare; Employee Assistance Program Counselling; Victims of Crime; and Veterans services. Dr Grace also provides clinical supervision to a range of professionals.
Dr Grace is currently a member of the Charles Darwin University Human Research Ethics Committee. Since 2008 her previous appointments have included: Deputy Chair of the NT, SA & WA Board of the Psychology Board of Australia; member of the NT Alcohol and Drugs Tribunal.
