Lynette McKee completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours) and Post Graduate studies in Education at Charles Darwin University, completing her psychology internship with the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Darwin. Lynette also holds Diplomas in Nursing and Welfare. After moving to the Northern Territory in 1991, Lynette’s career has had particular focus on crisis and trauma related counselling. Lynette currently provides trauma interventions at SARC, with children and adults who have experienced acute and historical sexual violence. Lynette is particularly interested in developmental and forensic psychology and the challenges of implementing adaptive behaviour approaches, which are compounded by sexual abuse and transgenerational trauma.
