Professional Biography
I am a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 10 years’ experience providing trauma-informed counselling across complex trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, workplace stress, and psychosocial presentations. I meet eligibility requirements for the Trauma Support Directory and have demonstrated capacity in structured, evidence-informed trauma practice.
My clinical work is grounded in a phase-oriented, trauma-informed framework prioritising safety, stabilisation, and emotional regulation as the foundation for trauma processing. I have experience supporting clients impacted by complex and developmental trauma, including relational trauma, attachment disruption, and prolonged adversity.
I have specific experience working with presentations consistent with institutional trauma, including clients affected by systemic harm, abuse in organisational or care settings, and experiences of power imbalance and betrayal. My approach is paced, containment-focused, and guided by client readiness to ensure psychological safety throughout therapeutic engagement.
I am familiar with the principles of the National Redress Scheme, including survivor-centred, choice-based, and trauma-informed practice requirements. My approach aligns with these principles through emphasis on safety, control, validation, and gradual processing rather than exposure-led intervention.
I deliver counselling via telephone and online platforms and have extensive experience supporting regional and remote clients across Australia. My practice is structured, accessible, and adaptable to ensure continuity of care across digital and distance-based service delivery.
I am committed to ethical, evidence-informed trauma practice, with ongoing professional development in complex trauma care. My clinical focus is on stabilisation, regulation, and safe therapeutic engagement that supports recovery for individuals impacted by complex and institutional trauma.
