Professional Biography
I have experience in trauma therapy and EMDR, drawing on more than a decade of experience working in complex, high intensity environments across Australia and overseas. My background spans inpatient mental health, alcohol and drug services, criminal justice settings, child and family services, remote communities, and private practice, the kinds of places that teach you to stay calm, think clearly, and develop a very grounded sense of humour.
I work with trauma, complex trauma, grief, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, identity challenges, relationships, addictions, and the long term effects of chronic stress. My approach integrates EMDR, somatic informed frameworks, attachment based principles, and evidence driven trauma modalities. Clients often describe me as steady, attuned, and direct in a way that feels safe someone who can hold the heavy things without making them heavier.
I bring strong clinical insight, a deep understanding of the nervous system, and a capacity to support people through complex emotional experiences while helping them reconnect with their strengths. My practice is inclusive, culturally responsive, and grounded in respect.
Therapy with me is a space to understand your patterns, make sense of your internal world, and move toward healing, with clarity, compassion, and the occasional light moment when it helps the work land a little easier.
