Professional Biography

Grace is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, and Director of With Grace Therapy, with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents and adults with complex mental health needs, including trauma and PTSD.

Grace works from a deeply trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and strengths-based framework, prioritising safety, collaboration, and client autonomy. She is experienced in supporting individuals with a range of trauma presentations, including developmental trauma, complex trauma, and trauma intersecting with eating disorders, neurodivergence, and life transitions.

Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). Grace tailors these approaches to each client, recognising that trauma recovery is not linear and requires flexibility, pacing, and attunement to the nervous system.

Grace has strong experience in:
* Supporting emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and nervous system stabilisation
* Working with trauma-related anxiety, hypervigilance, shame, and identity disruption
* Rebuilding a sense of safety in the body and relationships
* Supporting clients to process trauma while maintaining day-to-day functioning
* Working with neurodivergent individuals where trauma and sensory experiences intersect
* Collaborative care within multidisciplinary teams.

She is particularly skilled in creating a therapeutic environment that feels safe, validating, and non-judgmental recognising that trust and relational safety are foundational to trauma recovery. Her work emphasises helping clients reconnect with themselves, build sustainable coping strategies, and move towards a life aligned with their values.

In addition to her clinical work, Grace is an experienced supervisor for social workers and human service professionals, supporting practitioners to work safely and effectively with trauma presentations.
