Professional Biography
Gillian is a registered psychologist with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. She is also a neuropsychotherapist and member of the International Association of Clinical Neuropsychotherapy. Gillian is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Psychological Society. Her practice focuses on the treatment of children, adolescents and adults impacted by trauma and/or neglect, with a focus on working with complex trauma. Gillian's professional background is in educational and developmental psychology (assessment and counselling), counselling, and counselling psychology. In addition to her private practice, Gillian lectures at university, teaches nationally and internationally on topics related to the treatment and understanding of complex trauma, and provides school consultation on how to support trauma-impacted children in the classroom. She is also involved with several organisations that are dedicated to helping marginalised people groups.
