Professional Biography

Evelyn Henry is a registered psychologist with a Masters of Clinical Psychology. Evelyn has been working with children, young people and adults who have experienced trauma for over 20 years. This experience has led Evelyn to understand that no one single approach will work for everyone and she draws on and integrates an extensive range of theoretical perspectives and teaching's. Evelyn's integrated trauma-informed approach to healing combines a person-centred perspective with an attachment model and strategies drawn from evidence based and practice based experience with modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Hakomi mindfulness based somatic psychotherapy, Family Constellation, Art/Eco-Nature Therapy, Guided Respiration & Mindfulness based breathwork, Sandplay Therapy, Play Therapy and Community and Transpersonal Psychology.
Evelyn is from Aotearoa New Zealand and brings the joy of being born and raised in a culturally diverse and nature rich country to her professional work. Evelyn arrived in Australia almost thirty years ago to study Community Theatre and Story Telling and is currently working in an Aboriginal Medical Centre and in a private practice on the beautiful mid north coast of NSW.
