Professional Biography

Emma Bullen is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). The regulatory body of professional Social Workers.

Emma has an honours degree in Social Work from the University of NSW. She is an approved counsellor for the NSW government Victims Services and the National Redress Scheme for Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse in Institutions. Emma is a member of Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA).

Emma has been working in the health industry since 1996 and has held a senior clinical specialist position in Community Health and has a background in Women’s Health. Emma has been in private practice since 2014. Emma is passionate about working with women of all ages and at all stages of their lives. She has expertise in working with women who have experienced complex trauma (childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence), anxiety, depression and issues surrounding pregnancy and infertility; work and family.

Emma is skilled in working with a variety of presentations and utilises cognitive behaviour therapies including Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Emma is committed to continuous evidence based practise with a focus on the individual person.

Emma has published works on the topic of therapy with women who have experienced domestic violence.
