Professional Biography

Dayna has over 10 years experience working with clients who have experienced child maltreatment and developmental trauma. Recently she has focussed on working with adolescent and adult survivors of child abuse and neglect and clients who experience complex trauma. Dayna has worked across various roles in Government, not-for-profit and private sectors including child protection, Sexual Abuse Counselling Services (SACS) for children and their families and a private hospital inpatient setting for adults and she is currently working in private practice. Dayna has training in providing various trauma informed approaches including the three phased approach to trauma included in the Australian Guidelines for the treatment of PTSD. She aims to provide a safe and empowering space for trauma survivors to begin their healing journey.
