Agata (Agi) is a warm, compassionate and insightful therapist with over 20 years of experience. Over the years she has been working with clients in different stages of life from perinatal mental health, adult mental health to age care psychiatry to help them overcome emotional struggles.
Agi specialises in assessment and treatment of depression, postnatal depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, difficulties with emotion regulation, self-esteem issues, grief and loss and adjustment to life changes and disabilities. She aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where clients can deepen their understanding of their emotional difficulties and develop skills to make helpful life changes and improve emotional well-being.
Agi is passionate about helping individuals reflect on and process their traumatic experiences.
Agi has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of NSW, is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Clinical College.
Her approach is flexible, individualised and informed by attachment theory. She draws upon evidence based treatment models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy .
