Dr Kerry Francis
Psychologist
Since obtaining full registration as a psychologist, I have worked in a number of clinical roles, the most recent of which have been in health care settings and private practice. Previously, I worked in a variety of academic roles whilst completing my PhD. This experience provided me with a broad grounding in the discipline. I have a strong track record in research, assessment, and in the delivery of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. I have recently received my clinical endorsement after completing the Registrar program.
I am passionate about health and wellbeing and have worked extensively with people dealing with a range of chronic health conditions including cancer. I am experienced in working with trauma and utilise trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, and schema-therapy approaches. I engage in frequent professional development to ensure my skills are evidenced-based and up-to-date. As a clinician, I work hard to ensure that therapy is collaborative, respectful, and safe. My private practice takes place in a small, friendly, warm and professional practice in Mareeba where I am one of two clinicians.

Ms Loretta George
Psychologist
I started working in 1999 at the Women's Centre in Townsville as a sexual assault counsellor. At the end of that year I graduated with a bachelor of psychology with honours from James Cook University . I continued working at the Women's centre as a sexual assault counsellor and started my postgraduate degree in clinical psychology. During this time I was an on-call worker for women that had been sexually assaulted and during the day I would do face-to-face counselling for survivors of sexual assault.
In 2003 I left Townsville and returned to Rockhampton where I started working at the Aboriginal and Islander health service in Phillip Street Rockhampton. I worked with many women that were in domestic violence, women that were sexually assaulted or adult survivors of sexual assault and whose children had been sexually assaulted.
I left Queensland health in 2012 to start my own practice Tilly’s Yumba. Over the years I have dominantly worked with people and children in trauma. I am also working with men that have been traumatised with my work at Mimosa Creek which is the drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Woorabinda. I continue to work with forgotten Australians people that are already in the Redress system domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
