Andi is a clinical psychotherapist in private practice in Sydney, specialising in the treatment of trauma Her work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing and is informed by psychodynamic principals, attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. She has trained in Post-Advanced Modalities of SE, focusing on attachment theory and shame resolution.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Medicine (Psychotherapy), Graduate Diploma of Psychology and a Bachelor in Counselling.
Currently working towards her PhD. Her passion is integrating her academic knowledge with the deeply known wisdom of the body, and her own experiences as a practicing psychotherapist over the last couple of decades.
Andi has extensive clinical experience, working as the Family Therapist at South Pacific Private, where she developed her skills in running group programs and working with a systemic view in her practice. At the Wesley Eating Disorder Unit, she learnt techniques to help people suffering from acute and chronic eating disorders. At the Aids Council Of NSW, she had the chance to work with the GLBT community to heal trauma, depression, PTSD and other mental health issues. Andi has also worked in Community Settings with disadvantaged families to help facilitate the healing of generational trauma.
Andi has Brainspotting, EMDR, MATES and Daring Way™ Facilitator training as part of her current skill set. She is also passionate about live music, travelling, dancing and martial arts.
