Professional Biography
Following 20 years practicing as a nurse in an acute hospital I studied a Diploma of Social Welfare and went on to complete my Masters Degree in Counselling and I am currently registered with the ACA as a level 4 counsellor. I am also registered with ACA as a clinical supervisor.
I have worked in the Alcohol & Drug sector for the past 14 years providing counselling to clients with a range complexity and currently I am clinical manager for a team of AOD counsellors and other AOD clinicians along with maintaining a small client case load..
I am an accredited Bereavement Practitioner with the Australian Centre for Grief & Bereavement and worked in a voluntary capacity for the ACGB for approximately 8 years following my grief and bereavement counselling internship with the organisation.
I also provide counselling privately to brokered clients of Carers Victoria.
