Professional Biography
I have been working as a Clinical Psychologist for 30 years across an array of mental health and disability areas. For most of this time I have worked in a part-time private practice and full-time in the past 10 years. For the greater part during my career I have worked with people who have experienced trauma or violence. In my private practice this is the bulk of my clientele. My initial training at the University of Melbourne was a Masters In Clinical Psychology with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy specialisation. I have had a broad array of Professional Development including Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Hypnosis and more recently Brain Based Therapy. I work with people in a flexible style using what skills are required tailored to the person. My approach is interactive and developmental drawing on the clients narrative as foundation for therapy.
